JOB DESCRIPTION:
- JOB TITLE: VETERINARY SURGEON (VS)
- QUALIFICATION: BVSc & AH from any university (1st / 2nd Schedule to the Indian Veterinary Council Act., 1982 – 52 of 1984)
- SKILLS REQUIRED: Fluent in Speaking Hindi and well aquatinted with Local Language
- DESIRED EXPERIENCE: Veterinary Health Coverage, Infertility management, Disease control, Maintenance of animal health, Supervision of vaccination, breeding programs, Disease surveillance, Fodder management, small ruminants development, community development through livestock rearing & Veterinary aid in flood and drought areas, etc.
- SALARY PACKAGE (CTC): 65,000 / month
- REPORTS TO: District Co-Ordinator (Administrative Reporting); Functional Reporting: Sr. Veterinary Surgeon (1962 Call center)

- WORKPLACE & SCHEDULE: The place of work is the respective Mobile Veterinary Unit. The work hours are 8 am to 4 pm, 6 days a week, with Sundays off and weekly Offs as per the Mobile Veterinary Unit work plan. If required, he/she should be available 24/7, 365 days a year.
- TRAVEL: A Veterinary Doctor needs to travel along with the MVU to the village level to serve animals & birds at Villages and Poultry farms. A minimum of 2 villages will be visited in a day and extensive travel in MVU will be there per the service requirements.

- EQUIPMENT PROVIDED: Android Tablet for data entry and prescription recording with a sim card.
- CRITICAL AREAS IN JOB: Veterinary Services, disease control, maintenance of animal health, supervision of vaccination, small ruminants development, fodder development, community development through livestock rearing, veterinary aid in flood/draught areas & Artificial insemination, Clinical services accountability, MVU custodianship and staff skill development.
- GRIEVANCE RECORDING: Regional Manager @ Regional Headquarters & 1962 command call center at State Headquarters.
- DISCIPLINARY COMMITTEE: As per instructions from HO
- SUBSTITUTE POSITION IN CASE OF ABSENCE: ADHOC/Temporary/relieving staff will be arranged by The Regional Manager.
