Job Title: Fleet Mechanics

Department: 108 Emergency Response Services

Experience Required: Minimum 5 years, preferably in fleet operations /vehicle Maintenace

Education: Diploma in Automobile Industry / Related field

Role Summary:

We are looking for skilled and proactive Fleet Mechanics to maintain and repair ambulances under the 108 Emergency Response Services in Andhra Pradesh. This role requires hands-on expertise in diagnosing mechanical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring all vehicles are safe, functional, and ready for emergency deployment. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in automobile servicing and a commitment to supporting life-saving operations

Key Responsibilities:

1. To Track the off-road status of the ambulance as per VAS and to check with the vehicle over the phone daily against total fleet held (segment wise)

2. To identify the reason for off road and guide to attend AFE for fast recovery.

3. To guide the pilots in knowledge sharing and technical support for better service.

4. To ensure the schedule servicing adherence on daily basis by respective locations.

5. Escalation of accidents/Incidents to supervisors

6. Inspect, maintain, repair, and overhaul vehicles and related mechanical equipment

7. Performing regular maintenance on fleet vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and inspections

8. Diagnosing and repairing mechanical problems, which can include engine, transmission, electrical, and suspension issues

9. Keeping detailed records of all repairs and maintenance performed

10. Ensuring all vehicles meet safety standards and regulations

11. Working closely with fleet manager to coordinate scheduled maintenance and repairs

12. Assisting in the acquisition of parts and equipment necessary for repairs and maintenance

13. Staying up to date with the latest automotive technologies and best practices

14. To be available 24/7 as & when required.
