  1. JOB TITLE: Fleet Manager


  1. QUALIFICATION: Diploma (Mechanical) / B.Tech (Mech) Graduate with a minimum of 2 years of work experience in the field of Fleet Management, vehicle service management & Logistics Management.


  1. SKILLS REQUIRED: Fluent in Hindi and well acquainted with Local Language, Team management, Sound knowledge on Motor vehicles (Ambulances, Bus or Commercial light Motor Vehicles & Logistics management Skills with good interpersonal communication skills. 


  1. DESIRED EXPERIENCE: Should have management skills of a minimum of 200 vehicles and 300 Fleet, driver's management, Vehicle maintenance, and Fuel efficiency management. Having experience in the maintenance of Commercial light motor vehicles will be an additional advantage.

  1. WORKPLACE & SCHEDULE: The place of work would be at the State Head Office, Patna, Bihar. The work timing is 9:30 am to 6:00 pm, 6 days in a week, Sundays off/Weekly Offs as per the work plan communicated by The State Project Manager. In case if required he/she should be available 24/7 * 365 days in a year.


  1. TRAVEL: The Fleet Manager position would involve extensive travel across all blocks in the districts for supervisory/Fleet Servicing purposes. Should be available for any Regional/District level meetings as and when required. Needs to travel to vehicle service stations and vehicle parking places for monitoring and quality check of MVUs Fleet performance.

ASSETS & EQUIPMENT
MVU Assets & equipment custodianship
PEOPLE MGMTDrivers Management, welfare, Team Training, and performance management. Arrangement of ADHOC staff of drivers in the MVUs as and when required.

FINANCIAL MGMTShould maintain records of ADHOC resources utilized in the district and should communicate & coordinate with the HR Department through the Regional Manager for payment of such ADHOC payments. Management of Cashbook for advances released from the Accounts Department.   Timely submission of fuel, travel, and other petty cash expenses within 7 days of such expenditure to the accounts department with due approvals from The State Project Manager.
INFORMATION & COMMUNICATIONSupporting Field Operations team for MVU maintenance, servicing, Accident vehicle repairs, Insurance claims management & communication with local service centers for timely vehicle servicing & repairs.

COMPLIANCEFleet Management process accountability, compliance, and improvement.

SUPPLY CHAINEnsuring a supply of a required quantity of fuel, lubes and lubes for the efficient functioning of MVU vehicles. Ensuring availability of spares, lubes, and backup mechanical tools to all MVUs.

  1. EQUIPMENT PROVIDED: The Fleet Manager is responsible for all MVUs, Mechanical & Medical and Non-Medical equipment installed or provided for the smooth operation of MVUs. He will be the custodian of all equipment (IT & Non-IT) provided by the company.


  1. CRITICAL AREAS IN JOB: Meeting Key Performance indicators of Fleet Management and interpersonal skills, MVU Uptime accountability, MVU custodianship, Driver management, KMPL & team skill development.


  1. GRIEVANCE RECORDING: State Project Manager & 1962 command call center at State Headquarters.


  1. DISCIPLINARY COMMITTEE: As per instructions from HO


  1. SUBSTITUTE POSITION IN CASE OF ABSENCE: Fleet Executives in his team will be deputed by The State Project Manager temporarily. If any Fleet Manager is absent for duties without proper notice/communication to the State Project Manager, then such Fleet Manager will be liable for suspension / disciplinary action as per company HR Disciplinary procedures.
