Role Summary:
An Emergency Response Officer (ERO) is a professional who plays a vital role in managing and coordinating responses to emergencies, both natural and human-caused. They assess situations, call for professional emergency services, and facilitate access to the right resources, ensuring a swift and effective response. EROs also support ongoing emergency response activities, monitor early warnings, and compile reports.

Key Responsibilities:

·EROs evaluate the potential risks and hazards associated with the emergency, including those related to the environment and the nature of the incident.
·EROs are trained to provide basic first aid to injured or ill individuals, including wound care, managing bleeding, and administering oxygen.
·They may be trained in life-saving procedures such as CPR, defibrillation, and managing airways.
·EROs assess the condition of patients, monitor their vital signs, and determine the necessary course of action.
·EROs may be responsible for coordinating and executing emergency evacuations, ensuring that people are safely evacuated from buildings or areas.
